Bid is for four used Civil Defense Radiation Detection Kits. Each kit comes in the original box!

Each kit will have one Radiological Survey Meter (related to the Geiger Counter), one Dosimeter Charger and up to four Dosimeters, plus instruction booklet dated August, 1976.

"By far the most popular meter on the market today. This is the simplest radiological survey meter, specifically designed for high-radiation fields for which geiger counters will give incorrect readings. Survey meters do not read alpha or beta radiation. They work by radiation penetrating the case of the unit and the enclosed ionization chamber to produce a visible reading between .1R/hr and 500R/hr. If you can get this unit (or any other like it) to react to any source of radiation evacuate the area immediately!"

Physical Condition: The boxes are in good used condition. From our quick peek at some of the units, it looks like the instruments inside the boxes are in good shape - they have some wear and some may have tape and/or marker marks, but the colors are clear and bright and the CD logos on all of the units are nice. The battery compartments are nice and clean.

Functionality: We have a quantity of these units and are picking lots out at random. The functionality of the units is unknown.

Auction is for a lot of four Civil Defense radiation detection kits. Photos are representative of what you will receive - there will be four kits selected at random. There will be one survey meter, one dosimeter charger (square box) and anywhere from one to four personal dosimeters in each kit. No batteries are included.

These are very cool looking kits - great display items or as gifts!

Lot is sold for historical purposes; we can't guarantee that any part of the kits will be properly functional or fit for use. This lot is being offered UNTESTED, AS-IS. No warranty, no returns accepted.

Shipping Policies

We exclusively ship to the lower 48 United States. We ship via UPS Ground and Common Carrier (Freight); we cannot ship to PO, APO or FPO Boxes.

To ensure the safety of your item, we do not combine shipments.

Items generally ship within 2-3 business days of receipt of payment – Usually earlier. An email will be sent with tracking information the evening an item ships.

Customer Pickups

Items may be picked up by appointment at our Minnesota facility. Prepayment is required. Pickup hours are 1pm – 4pm Monday through Friday. We are closed weekends and holidays.

Items Listed With a Warranty

Our warranty guarantees that the item will work as described in the body of the ad. It also guarantees that the item will come with the components explicitly listed and shown in the ad.

Minor cosmetic imperfections that do not affect the function of the item are not covered under warranty. We do not accept returns based on user error, misuse, software or driver issues, or “buyer’s remorse”.

Repairs or alterations by a third party will render the warranty null and void.
