You can’t find this model anywhere anymore! They are rare to find. This is brand new in the box. All the units have been tested to make sure they are in working order. So some of the boxes are little frayed at the bottom when I opened to test but the unit is brand new. Remember, this unit works on closed captioning and is around 95% accurate in muting profanity. Enjoy TV again without the swearing, sexual words or even blasphemy. You can take control of your TV watching, especially if you have kids. It works on most TV programs & DVD/Videos out there with close captioning. One things for sure, you’ll hear a lot less foul language with this wonderful device. I absolutely love mine. HOW IT WORKS: TV Guardian doesn’t block out entire programs like other parental control devices. TV Guardian automatically detects and filters profanity and other offensive phrases on the programs and movies while you are watching them. How does it do that? By filtering foul language while you're watching by monitoring the hidden closed-captioning signal. It check these words in its database. If an offensive word is detected it mutes the sound for the sentence, displaying a replacement text on the screen.
