6 band world receiver in very good condition

This SANYO RP 8550 radio is made in the 70th and is in very good condition, it was very careful handled over the years.

This Radio is a very big eye catcher. The cabinet with his much chrome is in very good condition. The loudspeaker grill and the station scale are without dents or breakings. The body from the SANYO radio is covered with black leather. (I think it´s leather imitation)

The tuning of all bands is smooth-running and exact. The receipt on all bands is just famous, a technically and optical very nice and very heavy radio.

The SANYO TRANSWORLD SENATOR RP 8550 has following bands:

LW  150 kHz  -  350 kHz

MW  520 kHz  -  160.5 kHz

SW1  2.30 MHz  -   7.30 MHz    (120 – 90 – 75 – 60 – 49 - 41m)

SW2  8.00 MHz  -   22.0 MHz   (31 – 25 – 19 – 16 - 13m)

49m  5.95 MHz  -  6.20 MHz

FM 87.5 MHz - 108 MHz

Tone control by means of two knobs: one for high tones and one for the basses.

One button is for the SW fine tuning and one for squelch.

This radio has also one slide button for AFC (automatic frequency control).

The station scale is nice and clean, all knobs, pushbuttons and the tuning indicator works good.

The two telescopic aerials and the carrying handle are in very good condition

The sound from the big high quality loudspeaker is very good, loud and clear.

The radio has following dimensions: wide 15.4", high 11.0", and deep 4.7". The weight is 12.2 lbs.

You can plug in a tape recorder/CD-player, an earphone, an external loudspeaker and an external aerial.

The Radio play’s with 8 batteries in type D, the battery compartment is like new. This radio has a power adapter AC 220 volt, DC 12 volt. For AC 110 volt, DC 12 volt you must take another adapter. 

To the radio i send the battery pipes an earphone and a adapter for the external aerial.
