This Auction is for the NEWEST ClearPlay DVD Player, Model CP-427-USB.
*Important Note: The Player in this auction comes with an Unlimited 1 Year Filter Membership. If you purchase a player without a membership you will have to pay an additional $79.50 after the sale to start your membership. Without the membership you can not obtain the movie filters, which the player requires in order to edit your DVDs.
Previous ClearPlay Model Information:
Maxplay DVD Player: One of the 1st models produced, these are more than 2 years old, even if your buying as "new". ONE MAJOR DRAWBACK to this model is that it requires you to plug the player into a PHONE jack in order to download movie filters. Not a very user friendly or convenient feature.
ClearPlay Model CP-007-USB: This is the model that was produced last year and is no longer being made, mainly because the product was greatly improved with the CP-427.

Great question! ClearPlay is a fancy DVD Player that can play regular DVD movies -- but without profanity, violence and nudity.
It's really quite ingenious. We create filtering information on a movie by movie basis, and then put those "filters" into the DVD player. This way, the DVD player knows when to skip or mute while the movie is playing.
Nope. That’s the great thing about the ClearPlay service. We love movies just as much as you do, so we take great care to maintain the presentation quality of the movie– the only thing gone is “that one scene” you wish the kids never saw.
Another great question! If you sign up for a ClearPlay Membership then we provide constant updates for your DVD player. This way ClearPlay works with new movies as they come out. It is really just that simple (and cool!).
It's really pretty easy. If you want, call our Customer Support and we’ll talk you through the set-up. After that, updating your player is so easy that anyone can do it (even if you can’t tell your mouse from your modem!).

What is a ClearPlay Filter?
A ClearPlay FilterTM is a software filter for your DVD movies. Each DVD movie has a custom Filter created just for that movie. When you play a DVD movie in a ClearPlay DVD player with a ClearPlay Filter, objectionable content is omitted from viewing based on the ClearPlay Filter Settings.
