I was going thru more of my junk boxes at my folks place (still surprises me what I have!) and I came across a Feed Horn for my guess, C Band Sat.? Its 2.5" across the input?.. and 4.5" deep, the total outside circumference is 6.75".. Looks like it is designed for Wave Guide.. but has a California Amplifier Inc 50db LNA with an N-Type connector. The label is stamped 120K @ 3.7Ghz, 110 @ 4Ghz, and 115 @ 4.2Ghz. (whatever that means!)
OK.. what I was told.. from a 'Big Time' EME / Satellite Guy..
You have a C band satellite feed. They can work well at 3456 if you decide to try that band.
The LNA has a nf of around 1.4 db at 3456.
Does it work? I dont know..! I paid $15 for a N-Type connector when I needed one in a hurry.. so the connector is worth something.. although be it the 'Female End'.. Will 'Bubble Wrap it Up' and pay the Winning Bidder back any Shipping Costs..
