You are bidding on a used Panasic 2.4Ghz Wireless phone and answering machine system - model KX-TG2382B.

About this phone:
I purchased this phone system a few years ago because I needed an answering machine with remote retrieval abilities and multiple phones.  This system was the answer to all my needs.  Unfortunately, last year I put together a very powerful wireless network.  I set up a couple of my neighbors on my new, powerful wireless network which, unfortunately, caused interference during peak hours.  Phone reception became poor.  The network only interfered with the phone reception during downloads.  With 3 neighbors on my network, it seemed like someone was always downloading something.  Fed up, I purchased a 5.8Ghz phone system with no answering maching...grrrr...  My loss is your gain.

Item Condition:
Both phones are in good working order.  The batteries hold a charge for only a couple days out of their respective cradles, so they could probably use replacing.  I think I could keep them out of the cradles for well over a week when they were new.

I always use the speaker feature when I talk on the phone, so I tend to be harder on the batteries.  I never talk more than 20 minutes at a time, so the batteries never lost a charge once during a conversation.

The "intercom" feature is pretty cool, too.  You can page the other phone.  With both phones in speaker mode, you can hold a conversation with someone else in the house.  This is VERY usefull if you do work in an attic or crawl space and need to keep in communication with someone in the house.

The batteries are worn, but they do work well as long as you keep the phone in the charger.  The answering machine works perfectly, though twice during ownership the base had to be "rebooted" because it just lost power.  I simply unplugged the power and replugged it back in and the phone worked fine.  I don't know why it did that.  It just did it twice and then never again.
