In the 90's Radio Shack had a series of car stereo amps that were comparable to anything on the market. They sounded great and were half the cost of similar amps. Some still go for big bucks here on eBay. Here's two 50W units (25w/ch), one works great, one dead. (Yeah, you can kill even a well built amp) The bad one just needs the 2 power amp ICs replaced, part number TA8225H. They're available at various parts houses, cheap. The Radio Shack part number is RSU 10923910, but they've probably sold through them by now.

If you need a little more power this amp will do just fine. Fix up the other one for a 100w total.
